Catriona Macrae Sets CIASA Record In Jamaica
Catriona Macrae sprinted to a new CIASA record of 33.84 when winning the 50m backstroke at the Christmas Open Meet in Kingston Jamaica. This conclude a hat trick of wins and best times in the backstroke events at this meet....fine swimming!
Alex McCallum, confident after a series of lifetime bests in previous sessions, paced his way to victory and a meet record of 4:20.07 in the 400m freestyle; this time give him an automatic entry time for the National Development Group at Lougbborough University in the UK....his chosen place of study in September 2013.
Iain McCallum kept golden moments in the family when he swam to gold in the 200m butterfly with a lifetime best of 2:29.26.
Ashley Theaker and Katie Klein took silver and bronze in the 400m freesyles whilst Samantha Bailey rounded off a successful meet with a bronze medal in the 50m backstroke with 37.39
