200m Freestyle Action From Jamaica

One or two technical problems with results from the closing events in Jamaica but we can report on some solid 200m Freestyle Action.

Samantha Bailey continued her podium ways with a silver medal in the 11/12yrs 200m freestyle; her 2:30.37 being a CARIFTA Qualifying time. In the same event Ella Plunkett race to 4th in 2:36.74 (CARIFTA time) and Stefanie Boothe finished 5th in 2:39.20. In the boys 11/12yrs 200m freestyle Eddie Weber produced a huge lifetime best to take 5th spot and set a CARIFTA time of 2:33.46 (BIG smiles all round from Eddie) whilst Matthew Somerville finished 6th in 2:37.06.

Lauren Hew (2:25.53), Ashley Theaker (2:25.70) and Katie Klein (2:27.83) went 3rd, 4th, 5th respectively in the 13/14yrs 200m freestyle with Cole Morgan (2:20.17) and Jonathon Key (2:24.79) going 5th & 7th in the boys 13/14yrs 200m freestyle.

Sprint specialist, Kyle Fraser, finished 8th in the 15/17yrs 200m freestyle in 2:17.25.
