Lauren Hew Smashes Records And Is Canada Bound

 
CARIFTA Champion, Lauren Hew, smashed the CIASA and Natonal 13/14yrs Backstroke Records at the Caledonian Meet being held at the Lions Pool.

Utilising her excellent underwater skills, Lauren blasted her way to a 32.11 in the 50m backstroke whilst in the 100m backstroke event she added her superior stroke rate and technique to take the title in 1:08.43.

The 100m backstroke time was even more pleasing as it completed the trio of backstroke qualifying times she needed to compete at the Canadian Age Group Championships in Montreal.
