Alison Jackson In Record Breaking Form In Sarasota
Alison Jackson, fresh from setting multiple records at the recent Caledonian Meet, continud this form at the Sharks Open Long Course Meet in Sarasota Florida.
Buoyed by a bronze medal winning swim in the 10yrs& U 50m backstroke (39.55), she went on to take silver in the 10yrs&U 100m freestyle; smashing the CIASA and National Record with a 1:11.61.
The online results service is currently not working too efficiently but we can report that Alex McCallum raced to a lifetime best of 2:06.42 to make the B Final of the Open 200m Freestyle with Cole Morgan (15/16yrs 200m Back), Ashley Theaker (13/14yrs 200m free) and Samantha Baley (11/12yrs 100m ,200m freestyle, 50m backstroke) all secured second swims in the evening finals session.
Samantha Bailey raced to a lifetime best of 1:06.73 in the heats of the 11/12yrs 100m freestyle and inprived on this the final to take 7th place in 1:06.69. She then lifted her game in the 11/12yrs 50m backstroke to sprint to silver in a time lifetime best of 34.89
