Lauren Hew and Cole Morgan Strike Gold In St.Pete
CARIFTA Medalllists and Backstroke specialists, Lauren Hew and Cole Morgan, struck gold on the opening night of the St.Petersburg Aquatics Meet.
Swimming in the 50m backstroke they both utilised their superior underwater dolphin kick to take the Women's and Men's titles in 33.50 and 31.06 respectively; Catriona Macrae took bronze in the women's event (34.21) to put two Cayman swimmers on the podium.
Alison Jackson continued her winning ways with victory in the 9/10urs 200m IM with 2:58.99; narrowlymissing the long standing CIASA & National Records.
In the 400m freestyles Holly Stadling took silver in the 9/10yrs in 5:55.87 whilst Alex Mccallum took bronze in the 18yrs+ in 4:17.42.
