Alex McCallum On A Roll In St. Pete
Having responded magnificently to the pressure of the "last chance saloon" on Day 1 of the St.Petersburg Meet, Alex Mccallum has gone from strenght to strenght.
Racing to a silver medal in the Snr 200m backstroke, he smashed his lifetime best with a 2:14.19; a time which is also inside the standard required for the Loughborough University National Development Squad. Alex then went on to take bronze in the Snr 400m Individual Medley with another lifetime best of 4:57.03.
Lauren Hew, using the meet as preparation for the bigger stage of Canadian Age Groups, swam to 4th place in the Snr 200m backstroke in 2:32.18; just outside her lifetime best.
Other Top 10 finishes were:
Cole Morgan 7th Snr 200m backstroke 2:21.84, Ella Plunkett 5th 13/14yrs 200m backstroke(2:39.72), Iain McCallum 8th Snr 400m IM ( 5:11.60)
Cayman Swimming is making a huge impact at the meet.
Bring on day 3!!
