Day 4 Prelims And Still Doing The Business!

Cayman Swimmers continued to "do the business" on Day 4 (the final day) of the Island Games in Bermuda.

Lara Butler is obviously still putting rocket fuel on her breakfast cereal as she raced to 4 Finals and a CIASA Record! Starting with the 100m IM, Lara qualified as 4th fastest (1:07.49) for the final, she then went on to qualify as fastest for the 200m butterfly final (2:21.98), next came the 100m freestyle where she set a new CIASA Record of 59.09 to make through to the fina in 5th place; she finished the morning with a lifetime best of 30.78 in the 50m backstroke to progress to the final in 4th.

Geoffrey Butler swam a well paced race to go through in 4th in the 400m freestyle in 4:08.18 whilst Alex McCallum qualified for the 100m backstroke final in lane 8 with a 1:02.04.

Brett and Shaune Fraser, fresh for their medal winning bonanza of last night, controlled the 50m freestyle to progress in 2nd & 3rd with 22.68 and 22.86 respectively.

Coral Tomascik swam to a lifetime best of 1:09.83 to finish 12th in the 100m IM and a 1:01.02 in the 100m freestyle to finish 11th; Coral also swam the 50m backstroke and finished 15th in 33.64

The Men's Freestyle Team has an easy ride into the final; qualifying in 5th place; the pedestrian split times being: Alex Mccallum 56.40, Brett Fraser 51.70, Geoofrey Butler 58.60, Shaune Fraser 54.26

The last session of The Games is this evening....
