| Dear Swimmers, The 37th Annual Pirates Week 5K Sea Swim, sponsored by KPMG, is taking place this Saturday November 11, 2017! Venue: Governor's Beach Registration on race day: 6.00am to 6.45am Race will start and finish at Governor's Beach at 7.00am. Course: 4 rectangular loops of 1.25km Cost: CIASA Members: CI$25 Non-CIASA Members: CI$30 Hope to see you there to participate, cheer or volunteer. The following Open Water clinics will take place at Governor's Beach on Friday November 10, 2017. The clinic will be conducted by Stephanie Horner (and Bailey Weathers). Stephanie is from Canada and is a freestyle and butterfly specialist. "After having won four medals at the 2007 Pan American Games, Horner competed for her native country at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China, and at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Horner also made the 2011 Canadian World Championships team, qualifying in the 400-metre individual medley event at the 14th FINA World Championships in Shanghai, China. In 2016, she was officially named to Canada's Olympic team for the 2016 Summer Olympics in the open water swim event. In April 2017, Horner was named to Canada's 2017 World Aquatics Championships team in Budapest, Hungary."
