Dear Swim Families, As you know, The Lion's Club has played an important role in the Cayman swimming community for many years and we'd like to express our thanks by supporting the Lions' Food Pantry as we did at last year's Mike Lockwood Memorial Meet. We will have a table set up beside our concessions stand throughout the meet for anyone who would like to participate to drop off donated items. Please see below further details of the Food Pantry, including a list of suggested items. The Food Pantry is a community-based program that collects and stores food and household products for free distribution to persons who have been identified and assessed by local churches, schools and Government agencies and deemed to be in genuine need. We focus primarily on school-aged kids and the elderly. The Lions Pantry's most needed food items are:
- 100% Fruit or Vegetable Juice;
- Peanut Butter and Jelly;
- Whole Grain Products;
- Canned Tuna or meat;
- Canned vegetables;
- Beans;
- Low sodium canned goods
The Pantry also collects hygiene products and small household items to distribute. Some most needed non-food items are:
- Toothbrushes and Toothpaste;
- Shampoo and Conditioner;
- Soap and Deodorant;
- Baby Supplies;
- Flashlight& Batteries.
Thank you for your support. Helen Dakers Stingray Swim Club Treasurer |
