| WPWL 2018: Hungary beats Spain in Budapest |

| FINA women's water polo world league 2018 |
|
| Hungary defeated Spain in Budapest (HUN) last night (December 19) in the second round of the FINA Women's Water Polo World League 2018 European preliminaries.
In a very tight game, Hungary scored 10 goals and Spain 9, despite the latter leading the last quarter (4-1, 3-2, 2-2, 1-4).
The other game of the second round, Russia vs the Netherlands, will be played on Friday December 22 in Astrakhan (RUS).
Provisional ranking
NED 3 pts; HUN 3pts; ESP 3pts; RUS 0 pt
Both the men and women's preliminary rounds of the World League will resume in January - on January 30 for the women, while the men will dispute their third round on January 16. |
