WPWL 2018: Hungary and Spain lead after round #3

FINA women's water polo world league 2018

Hungary beat Russia 12-9 on Monday January 29 in Budapest (HUN) when the teams gathered to play the third European round of the 2018 season of the FINA Women's Water Polo World League. Hungary takes the lead of the ranking with 6 points, 2 wins and 1 lost. The game started well for Hungary, while the last two quarters went better for the Russians (4-1, 3-2, 3-4, 2-2).

Spain also collected another 3 points to rank second with 6 points too, defeating the Netherlands 11-8 (2-3, 4-2, 4-2, 1-1) on Tuesday January 30 in Ede (NED).

Provisional ranking

1. HUN 6pts, 2. ESP 6 pts; 3. RUS 3 pts; 4. NED 3 pts

The fourth round of the Women's World League will be played on February 27.

The men's European prelims resumes on February 12 and 13.
