The 2014 CARIFTA Games was CIASA swimmer Danielle Boothe’s last CARIFTA games. Danielle swims for Jamaica and trains in the Cayman Islands. Danielle plans to attend Liberty University in the United States next fall. Final team scores are in for the 2014 CARIFTA Games. In the pool events the Cayman Islands finished 10th with 203 total points behind 9th place Bermuda with 242 points. The Cayman Islands placed even higher in the Open Water Competion with a combined total of 6 points to finish 7th behind Martinique.

The 2014 CARIFTA Games came to a close with the 5K open water race in Aruba. Once again Cayman Island Swimmers finished well up in the standings. One of the highlights of the third day of the 2014 CARIFTA Games was Ali Jackson's second place finish in the 11-12 Girls 50 meter Breast. Ali's time was 36.90.
