CIASA Technical Director, Ian Armiger, is to visit the University of Florida Gators June 6th-9th. Whils this is basically a social visit, it will also provide an opportunity to observe workouts featuring Olympic Medallists; Ryan Lochte, Elizabeth Beisel and Conor Dwyer. Go Gators!
The 2014 Commonwealth Games will be held in Glasgow from 23rd July-3rd August. Ella Plunkett, CARIFTA finalist, will race at the Irish Age Group Championships this summer. The meet, which takes place at the National Aquatic Centre in Dublin from 18th - 21st July, will provide rapidly improving Ella with the ideal opportunity to race against Ireland's finest Age Group Swimmers. Camana Bay Aquatic Club celebrated a year of successes at their 3rd Annual Awards Banquet which was held at the Georgetown Yacht Club. All swimmers were presented with a Certificate of Recognition followed by awards for Club Record Breakers, CIASA and National Record Breakers, Most Improved Swimmer, Spirit Award and Swimmer of the Year.. The occasion also gave the membership an opportunity to thank founding coach, Coach Katie Lambert, for the outstanding contribution she has made to the club since its inception.
