Fresh from successes at the recent Walter Rodgers Meet in Jamaica, Cayman Swimmers now have the opportunity to come off Long Course racing, bounce between those walls and pop in some FASTshort course times at the Pete Ribbins Meet. The meet, the final opportunity to qualify for CARIFTA, kicks off tomorrow evening at the Lions Pool with some exciting races in store...particularly the girls 13.14yrs 1500m freestyle; a swim off for possible CARIFTA 5km entrants. Get excited!
Coach Darren Mew, GB Olympian and Treasure Island Swim School Coach, provides various opportunities for swimmers of all ages to participate in Open Water familiarisation. Darren, pictured with a group of Level 5 swimmers, runs these classes at Governors Beach each week. This is a great way to make the transition for Pool to Ocean; ensuring water safety and confidence.
